  • or contacting me.

Using the site means you accept these terms. If you don’t agree with them, it’s OK to simply not use the site.

3. Other pages that also apply

These terms sit alongside:

  • Privacy & cookies policy – how data and cookies are used.
  • Disclaimer & boundaries – what the site can and can’t do (no diagnosis, no emergency support, no legal advice, etc) at /disclaimer/.
  • Accessibility – how I aim to make the site accessible and how to give feedback.

You may use this site for:

  • your own personal reading, learning and reflection,

You agree not to:

  • use the site in any way that breaks the law in your country or in the UK,

  • use the site to send spam or unwanted advertising.

If you break these terms, I may:

  • block your access to the site,
  • remove comments or other content you’ve posted,
  • contact hosting providers or, in serious cases, relevant authorities.

5. Intellectual property and content reuse

Unless clearly stated otherwise:

  • all text, structure and design on Quietly Neurodivergent is copyright © Andrew Wright,
  • all rights are reserved.

You may:

  • link to pages and share those links,

If you’d like to use content more extensively (for example, in training materials, workshops or publications), please email [email protected] to discuss it.

6. Community and comment guidelines

Where comments or other interactive features are available on the site, they should be a calmer, safer space for neurodivergent people and others reading along.

By posting a comment or contributing in any community space linked to this site, you agree to:

  • Be respectful of other people’s lived experience, even if it differs from yours.
  • Avoid harm – no slurs, harassment, threats, or personal attacks.
  • Stay on topic – keep comments reasonably related to the post or discussion.
  • Avoid “just try harder” advice – no shaming people for their coping strategies or needs.
  • Respect boundaries – if someone expresses a limit, don’t push past it.

6.1 Not allowed

Comments or contributions may be edited, hidden or removed if they include:

  • hate speech or slurs targeting disability, race, gender, sexuality, religion or other protected characteristics,
  • targeted harassment, bullying or dogpiling,
  • encouragement of self-harm, suicide or violence,
  • graphic descriptions of self-harm, abuse or violence without clear content warnings,
  • misinformation presented as fact about medical treatment, therapy or legal issues,
  • spam, scams or irrelevant advertising,
  • doxxing or sharing other people’s private information without consent.

Repeated or serious breaches may lead to you being blocked from commenting.

6.2 Lived experience and advice

You are welcome to share what has helped you. It is not OK to:

  • insist that others must do exactly what worked for you,
  • shame people for using or not using medication, therapy or other supports,
  • question or mock other people’s diagnoses, identities or labels.

Phrases like “this worked for me, it might not work for you” are encouraged.

6.3 Moderation boundaries

Moderation is done on a best-effort basis and is not available 24/7.

That means:

  • comments are not monitored continuously,
  • some issues might be missed or spotted late,
  • comments may be closed on posts that attract hostility or become too heavy to manage.

If you see a comment that feels unsafe or clearly breaks these guidelines, you can email [email protected] with a link to the page and a brief description of the issue.

For the overall limits of what this site can and can’t provide – including crisis support, legal advice and medical guidance – please also see the Disclaimer & Boundaries page.

7. Content and corrections policy

I try to make sure that content on Quietly Neurodivergent is:

  • as accurate and clear as I can make it,
  • based on a mix of lived experience, community knowledge and research,
  • updated when I become aware of important changes.

However:

  • I cannot guarantee that every post is complete, up to date or right for your specific situation.
  • Laws, policies, diagnostic criteria and best practices change over time.
  • I may not always be able to update older posts immediately.

7.1 How I handle updates and corrections

If I discover a mistake or a significant change in information, I may:

  • quietly correct spelling, wording or formatting issues,
  • update sections to reflect current understanding,
  • add a short note (for example, “Updated on [date] to reflect X”),
  • in rare cases, remove or replace content that is no longer appropriate.

If you spot something that looks wrong, outdated or unclear, please email:

Email: [email protected]
Suggested subject line: “Content correction – Quietly Neurodivergent”

If you can, include:

  • a link to the page,
  • a brief explanation of the issue,
  • any sources you think might be helpful.

I can’t promise to make every suggested change, but I do take feedback seriously and will review it.

8. External links and third-party content

The site sometimes links to other websites, tools or resources, and may include embedded content (such as videos or forms) from third parties.

  • I don’t control external sites and I’m not responsible for their content, accessibility or privacy practices.
  • Links are provided because I think they might be helpful or interesting, but inclusion doesn’t mean I endorse everything that site says or does.
  • It’s always a good idea to check the privacy and accessibility information of any external service you use.

Data and cookies used by analytics and advertising tools on this site are explained in the Privacy policy. For the limits of what I’m responsible for, please also see the Disclaimer & Boundaries page.

9. No guarantees and limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law:

  • the site and its content are provided “as is”,
  • I don’t guarantee that the information will always be complete, accurate or suitable for your particular situation,
  • I don’t guarantee that the site will be available all the time, error-free, or free from security issues.

Nothing on this site is intended to create a professional relationship (such as doctor–patient, therapist–client or lawyer–client).

I am not responsible for:

  • losses or damages that were not reasonably foreseeable when you started using the site,
  • business losses or loss of income based on using the site,
  • actions you take based on what you read here without seeking appropriate professional advice.

However, I do not exclude or limit liability where the law says I can’t, for example for:

  • death or personal injury caused by my negligence,
  • fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

For more detail about the limits of what the site offers, please read the Disclaimer & Boundaries page.

10. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time, for example if:

  • the focus of the site changes,
  • I add new features (such as different types of community spaces),
  • legal or regulatory requirements change.

When I make important changes, I will:

  • update the “Last updated” date below, and
  • where appropriate, add a short note explaining the changes.

By continuing to use the site after changes are posted, you’re agreeing to the updated terms.

Last updated: 8 December 2025

11. Governing law

These terms, and any issues arising from them, are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If we can’t resolve a disagreement informally, it may be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
